Happy Birthday, Mom: MLB Player Hits Home Run During Mother's Interview in the Stands

With Mother's Day coming up, you may be wondering what to get your mom to show her you really care.

Here's an idea: How about a home-run in a Major League Baseball stadium?

Chris Colabello, first basemen for the Minnesota Twins, was playing the Tampa Bay Rays in St. Petersburg, Fla., Wednesday. His mom was in the stands that night, and as she was being interviewed, her son came up to bat.

There's no way he could've known his mom was being interviewed at that moment, but Colabello might have wanted to impress her. After all, it was her birthday. He hit a home run while his mom was mid-interview, causing her – and the reporter – to quite understandably freak out.

"Happy birthday, Mom!" says one of the announcers.

So, what are you doing for Mother's Day, again?
