Or so Schumer quips.
During a Tuesday appearance on The Tonight Show, the 34-year-old comedian gushed about her relationship with boyfriend Ben Hanisch – but his parent's aren't quite sure how to deal with reporters just yet.
"I met his whole family. They're great. And I told them – I was like, 'Look, journalists are going to call you because it's what they do. And they're going come to the house.' And they did," Schumer told host Jimmy Fallon, noting that she told Hanisch's mother, Deb, to tell reporters, "No comment."
"She's like, 'Oh, I got it, Am. Don't you worry. No comment. Not a problem.' Not even 10 minutes later, I get a Google alert that says – TIME magazine – that Deb was like, 'I've never heard of her before in my life!' "
Schumer added: "I'm like, 'Too far, Deb. Too far. Took it too far.' "
The Inside Amy Schumer star said Hanisch's family is "so nice" and described his mother as "the most excited person you'll ever meet in your life."
She also addressed the recent controversy surrounding her inclusion in Glamour magazine's special plus-size bonus issue.
"For those of you who don't know who I am, I'm a famous, plus-size model," she joked. "I love Glamour magazine, honestly, they've been so nice to me. They've done so many great things for women."
"But what I learned is that people really don't like being classified as plus-size," she added. "We don't need these labels. We don't need them. It should just say what size you are."
