The comedian, 34, found herself in a humorous twitter spat with Steve Martin after he questioned her scientific knowledge on Sunday.
It all started after Schumer told LeBron James her love for him was a "scientific fact," after the NBA superstar expressed his admiration to Schumer and Melissa McCarthy on Twitter.
"We love you more. It's a scientific fact!" she tweeted at the NBA star.

Martin, 70, swiftly took the opportunity to point out that love cannot actually be a scientific fact.
"Science is exacting and precise. This feels more like a pseudo- science," he wrote.

Naturally, this did not sit well with Schumer. The actress playfully shot back at Martin, suggesting he "stay in your lane" and leave the science definitions to her.
"You don't know what the heck you're talkin bout," she responded, even writing #scienceismymainthing.
"Am I the only one who truly understands the scientific method thingy deal?" Martin jokingly replied.

While it's safe to say Martin and Schumer's friendship will remain intact, the comedian has been known for getting into faux fights with her friends.
Schumer has shared several funny text exchanges with Colin Quinn, in which she often tells him to "please leave me alone" or that his "words are literally worthless."
