"Like every mother, my wish – every birthday – is for my children to stay healthy [and] for my family to remain healthy, so I will continue that," Jolie tells the Associated Press in Shanghai, China, where she was promoting her new film, Maleficent.
And Jolie's fiancé, Brad Pitt, and three of their six children were all there to support her. They took in the city's sights, enjoyed the local food and attended a dim sum class.
"We love Chinese food anyway, so now we get to have authentic Chinese food," she said. "They are having a wonderful time. Vivienne asked me not to go home today."
Jolie also praised Pitt's handling of his attack by former Ukranian journalist Vitalii Sediuk during the film's Hollywood premiere. She told reporters his reaction was "perfect" and called him "a strong man."
"Most fans are just wonderful. We've had a wonderful experience over the years, and we're very grateful for their support, and [the attack] will not change the way we behave," she said.
