On Friday, Jolie was spotted on a small boat with crew members from her upcoming film By the Sea, which she is directing from her own script.
The bride, 39, spent time scouting locations for the film, in which she and Pitt play a married couple who become sexually obsessed with their neighbors.
(50 Shades of Brad and Angelina, anyone?)
In addition to a helicopter flight over the small island of Comino, Jolie also spent several hours in Ta' Frenc, considered one of the best restaurants in the Maltese Islands. A source says she is planning to shoot scenes in the upscale eatery, particularly in the underground wine cave.
Pitt, 50, left London on Thursday to join Jolie in the seven-island Mediterranean country.
