One woman is twisting the way we think about body image – through her art.

On Tuesday, Jody Steel uploaded a moving video to her Facebook page, a time lapse drawing titled "Body Image."

"There have been times I've looked in a mirror and wished for a perfect figure. No matter how much I went to the gym or how little I ate carbs and sugar, I still didn't see what I imagined was perfect," she in the video's comment section.

"Once I realized that naturally, I don't have a coke bottle figure, or long and thin legs, I began to let go of the pressures I've felt to fulfill an image that our society has deemed the pinnacle of beauty."

In the video, a woman is seen standing in front of a black background as she paints her stomach to resemble a rope.

The sped-up video shows the woman painting the sides of her stomach black (to blend in with the background) and the center of her stomach blue, white, red and black.

In the end, the woman twists and moves her torso, and the "rope" moves with it.

The video has amassed more than 64 million views and has more than 600,000 shares.

In the post's comment section, Steel left her viewers with an empowering message.

"Let go of your demons and learn to enjoy the things you love in life. You can be healthy and happy."
