As someone who can convincingly swing from Jim Morrison's chesty baritone and druggy torpor to Tom Petty's reedy yelp and … well, druggy torpor, Jimmy Fallon makes a hell of a duet partner.

Which is fitting, because Barbra Streisand's new album, Partners, is just that: a series of duets with different singers, including old recordings of the King.

And with the exception of a brief cameo on The Late Show in 1994, Streisand hasn't been on a late-night talk show since 1963, so Monday night was quite the occasion for the 72-year-old music legend.

Not that she isn't up to date: The star has an Instagram account, and she uploaded a picture of herself getting done up backstage at Tonight.

Check out the full clip from Streisand's remarkable duet with Jimmy below, and look for Partners in stores Tuesday.
