Move over, Maleficent.

Emboldened by the success of the live-action fairy tale starring Angelina Jolie, Disney is already working on another one – a live-action adaptation of Beauty and the Beast, Variety reports.

On board to direct is Bill Condon, who directed the final two films in the Twilight series and won a Golden Globe in 2006 for the musical Dreamgirls, which he wrote and directed.

So far, there is no casting news to report for Beauty and the Beast.

Disney's 1991 film version is one of the most beloved animated musicals ever, earning a Best Picture nomination at the Oscars and being adapted into a Broadway musical in 1994.

Disney is also working on two other live-action versions of classic animated films: Cinderella, directed by Kenneth Branagh, and The Jungle Book, directed by Jon Favreau.

Meanwhile, Maleficent has cast quite the spell at the box office, pulling in $70 million in the U.S. in its first weekend and $100 million more internationally.
