In a photo that's gone viral, Harper's mom Elle decided to breastfeed her in the middle of a Bernie Sanders rally in Cleveland, Ohio Thursday.
"There is no, 'Oh, let me feed you in 10 mins,' " Elle told ABC 5 in Cleveland. "It's, 'I'm feeding you right here right now or you're screaming' "
"A hungry baby is a hungry baby."
Elle, who said she's been a public breastfeeding advocate for years, was happy to find that the response has been mostly positive – even from Sanders himself.
"After the rally, Bernie and Jane O'Meara Sanders both thanked me for doing what mothers do and taking care of my daughter when she needed her mom, even if that meant nursing in public!" Elle wrote in a Facebook post, which has over 4,000 likes and almost 1,400 shares.
And Sanders' support is a sharp contrast from the Republican frontrunner Donald Trump, who came under fire in June after a lawyer told CNN that Trump had once called her "disgusting" for asking to take a break and breast pump during a deposition.

And Trump didn't completely dispute Beck's claims, later telling CNN: "She's a terrible attorney. We beat her soundly. She's got a terrible reputation. Bottom line, I beat her – and – it was a breast pump. She wanted to breast pump in front of me. I may have said it was disgusting. I thought it was terrible."
Elle, though, is happy to have the support of the Democratic hopeful. She, along with baby Harper, plan to go back to Cleveland for Sanders' rally on Saturday.
