Bindi Irwin, who turns 17 on Friday, recently revealed that she is seeing someone.
"There is someone special in my life right now, and I'm really happy with that," Bindi told Entertainment Tonight on Tuesday.
Although Bindi told PEOPLE in February that dating was a "long way off," the teen seemed to be in bliss while sharing the news.
"Life is wonderful at the moment," she told ET.
She didn't reveal her boyfriend's name, but the daughter of the late Crocodile Hunter Steve Irwin did share some of the qualities she's looking for in a guy.
"He would have to be very kind and loyal," she told ET. "You've got to love the outdoors, you've got to be able to go camping and love wildlife and have that same passion for making the world a better place."

As for her late father, Bindi said his relationship test would have included some serious survival skills.
"Dad always said you can't date till you're 40, and he has to be able to swim across our largest crocodile pond before he can go out with you," she explained.
Bindi was only 8 when she lost her father after he was stung by a stingray.
"You'll always carry a part of that person in your life," she told PEOPLE in February. "I realize that Dad would have wanted me to be happy, to carry love in my heart, and to love every single day."
