Blake Shelton has been dogged by cheating rumors since he and Miranda Lambert wed four years ago, but a source tells PEOPLE the country singer has never strayed in his marriage.
"Blake is just that incredibly loyal and dedicated husband," says the Shelton source. "I can guarantee you he has been faithful to that woman."
Over the years, The Voice coach has been linked in the tabloids to various contestants from the NBC reality show, but "he hasn't cheated ever," says the source.
The beloved country couple announced Monday their decision to divorce.
"This is not the future we envisioned," the pair said in a statement. "And it is with heavy hearts that we move forward separately. We are real people, with real lives, with real families, friends and colleagues. Therefore, we kindly ask for privacy and compassion concerning this very personal matter."
Shelton, 39, and Lambert, 31, tied the knot in Texas in 2011, after dating for six years.
