Over the past few months, Bobbi Kristina Brown's family has been emptying the 22-year-old's townhouse in Roswell, Georgia.

A neighbor tells PEOPLE, "the Houstons brought moving vans and filled up an entire dumpster with trash" about two months ago.

"I was concerned about her little dogs, so I went over to inquire," the neighbor adds. "The Houstons assured me they were being loved and well taken care of."

A source close to the family tells PEOPLE that the family, specifically Bobbi Kristina's uncles Gary and Ray, were spotted at the home this spring, moving items out, and cleaning and disposing of any junk left in the house.

"Most of the furniture and other items had already been removed," the source shares.

Another family source tells PEOPLE, "The townhouse was cleaned out because no one was living there."

Bobbi Kristina – daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston – remains in hospice after she was found unconscious and unresponsive in her bathtub in her home on Jan. 31. Family and friends, including father Bobby, aunt and co-legal guardian Pat Houston, and actor/director Tyler Perry, have been visiting regularly.

In 2012, when Bobbi Kristina was 19, she inherited her mother's entire estate when Houston accidentally drowned in her hotel bathtub at the Beverly Hilton. Contributing factors of the singer's death included heart disease and cocaine use, an investigation found.
