The singer, 46 – who was married to the late Whitney Houston for 15 years – will release an autobiography, Every Little Step, in June, he announced Friday.
"Writing this book has been a therapeutic process for me," Brown shared with ABC News. "Getting it all out has allowed me to move on with my life."
He is set to give a one-on-one interview about the book with ABC News' Robin Roberts on 20/20 on Friday, June 10, the network said.
The book will hit shelves mere weeks before the one-year anniversary of Bobbi Kristina Brown's death. Bobby and Houston's daughter died at the age of 22 on July 26.
The investigation into Bobbi Kristina's death continues following the release of her autopsy results in March.
Attorneys for Nick Gordon – Bobbi Kristina's boyfriend who was raised as Houston's son but never legally adopted – told PEOPLE at the time the results proved he "didn't kill her." However, in a wrongful death suit against Gordon, 20, Bobbi Kristina's family alleges she "died due to a violent altercation" with Gordon and that he "injected her with a toxic mixture" – allegations Gordon previously denied.
