Brad and Angelina Jolie Pitt's family getaway hit a snag when their 12-year-old son, Pax, injured his right leg while on vacation in Thailand, a source confirms to PEOPLE.
Fortunately, his leg isn't broken, the source adds.
The couple, along with their six children, spent the holiday weekend in Thailand traveling around the country as a family.
It's been a season of jet-setting for the family, as they've been living in Cambodia while Jolie Pitt films First They Killed My Father: A Daughter of Cambodia.

But before settling in Thailand to celebrate Christmas, Pitt, 51, and Jolie Pitt, 40, took some time out of their busy schedules to go on a romantic trip together.
The two were spotted in Vietnam last week, where they enjoyed a private boat ride along Halong Bay. Later, they showed off their adventurous side, kayaking into caves around the area.
"They looked happy," an observer told PEOPLE. "[They were] holding hands, laughing."
