Bruno Mars knows how to live like a local when in New England.

The "Just the Way You Are" singer, who was in Boston to perform a concert at the TD Garden on Wednesday night, headed to the Union Oyster House, part of the Freedom Trail, for a traditional seafood feast with two friends.

The group even sat in the coveted Kennedy booth in the upstairs dining room, which was dedicated in President John F. Kennedy's honor because his family loved to dine on seafood there.

Bruno and a friend ate the Shore Dinner, which includes lobsters, steamers and corn, while a third friend ate fried seafood, a specialty at the House, which bills itself as the oldest restaurant in America.

But Mars didn't exit the eatery without leaving his mark. In the restaurant's autograph book, he signed, "Thanks for da lobsta … Love, Bruno Mars," and the Union Oyster House posted a pic of the autograph on Instagram.

"He was a very nice guy," said general manager Jim Malinn. "Rather quiet. He was very gracious, and didn't make a lot of fanfare."
