The past six months have been a time of incredible change for Caitlyn Jenner, but she still has a few significant decisions to make about her transition journey.

In a preview for Sunday's I Am Cait, the Olympian (formerly known as Bruce) admits she's not yet comfortable with gender confirmation surgery.

"The last six months of my life have been really enlightening," she says. "But one thing I'm really not comfortable with is this issue of gender confirmation surgery."

Despite the urging of good friend Jennifer Finney Boylan, Jenner remains uncertain and seeks the counsel of another friend who affirms that this particular step is "something that everyone has to wrestle with individually. You know, there are a lot of people who never end up having surgery and yet they're still men or women."

Boylan notes in an interview that Jenner, 66, "needs to find her truth and find the words to express that truth."

And in a separate sit-down, she asks, "Are you reluctant to learn more about this?"

Jenner takes a thoughtful pause before wondering aloud, "How do I answer that?"

I Am Cait airs Sundays (9 p.m. ET) on E!
