In a new clip from I Am Cait posted on E! News on Thursday, the former Olympian is talking to stepdaughter Kim Kardashian West and family friend Malika Haqq about calling room service in hotels before her transition and trying out her "best feminine voice."
Kardashian West wants to hear how it sounds and asks Jenner to "try it."
Jenner, 65, makes a valiant attempt, but Kardashian West laughs and says, "You sound no different!"
"See, that's the problem," Jenner replies with a smile.
How Caitlyn Jenner's Relationship with Her Children Has Changed
"Women cannot relate to the whole voice thing," Jenner says. "They don't see it as being that important when it is that important, not only for you just to speak and order and do all that kind of stuff but very important for your soul that you're feeling good about that."
She admitted earlier this month after receiving an ESPY award that her masculine voice "bothers" her a little bit, but added, "I hope that people don't listen to the pitch of my voice but listen to what I have to say. That's important to me."
That might not be the only trophy Jenner wins this year. The reality star has been nominated for a Teen Choice Award for Social Media Queen, Tweeted about the nod on Thursday, writing, "And to think I wouldn't have qualified for this nom a few months ago… What an honor!"
