"It is overwhelming like it normally is," she told PEOPLE backstage Sunday at The Forum about wedding planning. "But I feel like luckily Adam and I have similar tastes in what we want, so it's really easy to pick stuff."
And while Weaver's letting Cam be the star of the show ("His favorite thing to say is, 'Babe, it's your day,'" she says), he "has a great eye for that kind of thing, so he actually is pretty good at picking stuff out," she adds.
Next up on the star's wedding to-do list? Dress shopping! "I just started looking, and tomorrow I actually get to fly up to be with my mom and my sister," she says. "I'm from the Bay Area and we're going to try dresses on."

And though she's Nashville's new darling, Cam's also sticking to her West coast roots when it comes to her wedding venue.
"We're going to do it in Southern California in the fall, which is like a beautiful time," she says. "It's going to be really fun. I'm excited."
After exchanging vows, the newlyweds will also jet off to their honeymoon for two weeks. "Time together and off is going to be amazing because this is a pretty hectic schedule," she says. "[Somewhere with a] beach is what we really want, and now we just have to go within our budget."
