A statement from the Erie County Sheriff's Office claims that Amanda Schweickert, 28, was arrested after police stopped her vehicle on Wednesday.
PEOPLE learns Schweickert, who lives in Sardinia, New York, was spotted by a patrol officer driving down the highway with no front license plate and a homemade one slapped to the rear fender.

Schweickert, according to the statement, was behind the wheel despite her car's registration allegedly being suspended. She also lacks insurance for the vehicle, police say.
Police have charged Schweickert with possessing a forged instrument as well as three vehicle and traffic violations, according to officials.
She is being held on $400 bail and it was unclear Friday if she has retained legal counsel.
