Casey Wilson, who starred as Penny Hartz on the sitcom Happy Endings, married the show's creator David Caspe at the Ojai Valley Inn in California on Sunday, a rep for the couple has confirmed to PEOPLE. Wilson's brother officiated the ceremony, according to their wedding announcement in The New York Times.
Comedian Whitney Cummings Tweeted a photo of the bride and groom, with this caption: "Baby girl @casseyrosewilson is off tinder folks."
Wilson, 33, and Caspe, 35, got engaged on Labor Day weekend last year.
Although the couple kept their engagement private for some time, the former Saturday Night Live cast member couldn't help but show off her pear-shaped engagement ring at a Beverly Hills pre-Emmys party last year.
The couple met when Wilson auditioned for Happy Endings in 2010, learning that, in a twist of fate meant for TV, they'd lived on the same street in New York years earlier, the Times reports. They began dating in July 2011.
"I liked him the whole time because he is the most kind, genuine and funny person I have ever met," Wilson tells the paper. "But David felt it was not a good idea to get involved with the actresses."
"I was the boss," Caspe adds. "I didn't want to screw anything up."
Wilson will star in a new NBC comedy this fall called Marry Me.
