Ex-Dancing with the Stars Pro Cheryl Burke Isn't 'Afraid to Burn Bridges,' Says Source

Cheryl Burke has been sounding off about her time on Dancing with the Stars – calling a former partner her "least favorite part" of the show and dishing on pros hooking up.

But could her gift of gab hurt her future relationship with the show?

"Cheryl's never been afraid to speak her mind," an industry source tells PEOPLE of the pro, who exited the show in 2014. "She certainly wasn't afraid to burn bridges when she was on the show and that clearly hasn't changed."

Burke, 31, said on Tuesday's Allegedly with Theo Von and Matthew Cole Weiss podcast that working with Ian Ziering on the show in early 2007, "made me want to slit my wrists." She later apologized for those comments.

Former DWTS pro Maks Chmerkovskiy was critical of his former partner Hope Solo on the podcast last October, but was invited back to the show and served as guest judge Monday. The source doesn't necessarily see that happening with Burke, but says anything is possible.

"I don't see them inviting her back to guest judge but that has nothing to do with that interview," says the source. "But who knows. This wouldn't get her banned either."
