Dancing with the Stars: Nyle DiMarco Makes Everyone Cry – Including Tyra Banks!

04/18/2016 AT 10:30 PM EDT

Nyle DiMarco brought out plenty of emotions on Monday's Dancing with the Stars.

The star not only earned a 10 from notoriously tough judge Len Goodman, his emotional performance with switchup week pro Sharna Burgess left Carrie Ann Inaba in tears before giving her feedback. The America's Next Top Model contestant admitted he was also tearing up during the performance – and his regular partner Peta Murgatroyd and special guest Tyra Banks also shed tears in a rehearsal video package as well as Monday from the audience.

"That was like a total eclipse. It doesn't turn up often, but when it does, it's fantastic," said Goodman.

DiMarco, 26, explained his own tears this way: "Thinking about how I was going to bring the emotion into it, I think we connected in this dance. There's so much connection, that's probably why I cried."

After a bit of controversy, the PEOPLE blogger was awarded 37 out of 40. (Bruno Tonioli and guest judge Maks Chmerkovskiy held up 10 paddles, but apparently had written down 9s immediately after the dance – which is the score that counts, host Tom Bergeron explained.)

There was no elimination on Monday night, but there were plenty of other standout moments. Read on for more highlights.

Von Miller Goes Country

He looks at home in a football uniform, and now he's proven help looks good in a cowboy hat as well. The Super Bowl MVP's country jive had Tonioli calling his performance, "Very creative with an extra helping of swagger." He earned a 29 out of 40 with pro Lindsay Arnold.

Jodie Sweetin Is Back ... and Learns Val Had a Crush on Her!

Jodie Sweetin has struggled during the competition, but came back in a big way with a powerful performance that earned her and switchup partner Val Chmerkovskiy rave reviews and a 35 out of 40. The week was fun for Chmerkovskiy, who got to work with his childhood crush, whom he said he liked before he even knew how to speak English. Len Causes a Squabble
Goodman didn't think much of Facts of Life star Kim Fields' Viennese waltz, causing the crowd to boo and Inaba to disagree. Finally, Bergeron stepped in to mediate, saying, "Kids! Oh kids! Quiet down." They did (eventually).

One contestant will be sent home next week – and going into the episode NFL pro Antonio Brown is at the bottom of the leaderboard – but audience votes could change that. Who do you think will be sent home?

Dancing with the Stars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
