After being disappointed by her scores last week (and competing despite an injury), the Facts of Life star, 46, wowed the judges with her performance to The Jackson 5's ABC. It may have helped that she was childhood friends with Janet Jackson, as the star said during rehearsals.
"She was glowing in every sense of the world … electrifying," raved judge Bruno Tonioli, with Len Goodman adding: "It's as simple as ABC. That was your best dance. Well done."
Carrie Ann Inaba, who lobbed some of the harshest criticism last week, was also pleased.
"I love when you get pissed," she said. "When people get pissed at the judges, something happens. They come out and they bring their A-game. Tonight you killed that routine."
Before getting her scores – straight 9s – Fields spoke out about what the dance meant to her.
"I'm a competitor. And this means a lot. And we are dedicated week in and week out. So when you feel like you've got to go above and beyond, you've got to dig down deep," said Fields.
Dancing with the Stars airs Monday (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
