"Not only are Mr. Singer's comments about Ms. Richards blatantly inaccurate, they're also inappropriate, and unprofessional. Ms. Richards is doing everything she can to protect her children from the fallout of Mr. Sheen's erratic lifestyle and its enormously negative impact on their children," Patty Glaser said in a statement to PEOPLE on Saturday.
After Richards, 44, filed a $1.2 million lawsuit against Sheen, 50, for allegedly not providing all of the financial support he had promised for the care of their two daughters, Singer said the lawsuit is about "nothing more than money, money money."
"Denise Richards is not satisfied that she has received $660,000 tax free each year for almost 10 years," Singer continued. "It is not enough money for her, besides the approximate $10 million she has received from Charlie under her short marriage."
On Saturday, Singer again told PEOPLE that "Denise is simply being greedy" in response to Glaser's comments.
"I'm not going to stoop to Patty Glaser's level by attacking her personally, though it’s ironic that she would comment on Charlie's lifestyle considering that it was her client who wanted to marry him," Singer said in a statement. "And, as a result of that marriage, Denise became a very rich woman.
"I've been representing Charlie for more than 20 years," he continued. "Patty is just the latest in a long string of lawyers who Denise has hired to squeeze as much money as she can out of Charlie. This motion has nothing do with their children. Denise is simply being greedy. She isn't satisfied receiving $55,000 per month tax free – more than what 99% of the people in the world make. Now, she's asking Charlie to pay her more money so she can buy a second home because one $7 million home isn't enough for her."
On Friday, Richards shot back against Singer's original comments, writing, "Marty Singer u being the trustee should support a mom fighting to keep it intact for the children. It's their money, not mine or your client."

According to legal documents obtained by PEOPLE, Richards is seeking the $1.2 million in order to purchase a new home. She says Sheen previously promised to provide housing for her under the terms of a trust for daughters Sam, 11, and Lola, 10, but allegedly evicted them from a home he had previously purchased for them.
Richards and Sheen began dating after appearing on Spin City together and married in 2002. Richards filed for divorce in 2005 while pregnant with Lola.
