After vowing in October that he would not take off his "stinking glasses," Bush traded in his specs for contacts and showed off his new look during an interview with NBC News on Wednesday. "I've been trying to do this for like three months and I've started doing TV interviews, remote TV interviews where I can just stare at a camera, you know a blind camera, and people said, 'Wow, you look 20 years younger. Wow this, wow that,' " he explained to correspondent Peter Alexander.

It didn't take long for the Donald to weigh in.
"Jeb Bush just got contact lenses and got rid of the glasses. He wants to look cool, but it's far too late. 1% in Nevada!" Trump tweeted Wednesday morning.
Bush may have tweaked his appearance but he promised that his overall image and values remain the same. "You haven't seen me veer off, I am authentic, I believe what I believe," he said on NBC News.
And as for Trump, Bush told a crowd in Summerville, South Carolina, Wednesday that he's fed up with the billionaire businessman's attacks.
"It bothers me that someone comes to hijack that cause," Bush said. "Donald Trump's not a conservative, and he's not a steady hand for sure, and he's not a servant. It's all about him and I'm the only guy going after him. I don't feel like, that he's intimidating. He's a bully. Punch him back in the nose."
And in case you still have doubts about Bush's machismo, here he is chest-bumping bro George W. Bush.
Your move, Trump.
