In an interview with USA Today, the presidential hopeful said he could see himself appointing some of his past foes to a position in his administration – namely Marco Rubio, Scott Walker, and John Kasich.
"I like Marco Rubio … There are people I have in mind in terms of vice president. I just haven't told anybody names," he said. "I do like Marco. I do like Kasich … I like Walker actually in a lot of ways."
He added: "There are people I like, but I don't think they like me because I have hit them hard."
I will be using Facebook and Twitter to expose dishonest lightweight Senator Marco Rubio. A record no-show in Senate, he is scamming Florida— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 7, 2016
Don't believe the millions of dollars of phony television ads by lightweight Rubio and the R establishment. Dishonest people!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 7, 2016
The favorable comments are vastly different from those made about Rubio, and the other politicans, in the past – Trump even took to calling the Florida senator "Little Marco Rubio."
In February, Rubio and Trump engaged in an insult match.
"He doesn't sweat cause his pores are clogged from the spray tan that he uses," Rubio said at a Virginia rally. "Donald is not going to make America great. He's going to make America orange."
But Trump told USA Today that Rubio's jibes were no match for him.
John Kasich should focus his special interest money on building up his failed image, not negative ads on me.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 20, 2015
Once John Kasich announced he was running for president, and opened his mouth, people realized he was a complete & total dud!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 20, 2015
"He made a mistake. He became Don Rickles for about four days, and then I became worse than Don Rickles," Trump said.
"Look, I am running for president of the United States, and that's it," he told CBS.
Walker told reporters that he was "shocked" to be listed as a potential pick, according to The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
"It's kind of interesting to hear that after the things that were said about me a couple weeks ago," Walker said. "I can't even fathom that. Like I said, it's almost breathtaking that I was listed in the first place."
