In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, the singer recalled his years-old feud with Madonna, which was sparked when John targeted the singer for lip-syncing in concert. Now, the music legend is calling out Janet Jackson on the same topic .
"I say what I feel. I probably went too far with Madonna, and I got very personal and I wrote her – she was very gracious," John, 68, told the magazine, but that wasn't all he had to say on the matter of lip-syncing.
"You know, f---ing music magazines writing a review of Janet Jackson saying, 'This is the greatest show – four and a half stars'," he continued. "If it's f---ing lip-synced! Hello! That's not a show! I'd rather go and see a drag queen. F--- off."
Jackson, 49, is currently on her Unbreakable World Tour, after releasing her 11th studio album.
Aside from his distaste for lip-syncing, John told the glossy that right now, he's the happiest he's ever been, despite an ongoing feud with his 90-year-old-mother, and his recent album being rejected by his record label.
"This is a happy album," he added. "Because I've never been happier."
