Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them Teases Fans with Magical New Sneak Peek During MTV Movie Awards

We're just seven months away from the release of Harry Potter semi-prequel Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, and on Sunday night, fans got another peek into the wizarding world.

The film's star, Eddie Redmayne, magically popped out of a suitcase onstage to debut the new preview during the 2016 MTV Movie Awards.

The two-minute clip oozed mystery, including moving briefcases, moving brick walls and an Albus Dumbledore name drop.

The intense trailer featured a score similar to that of the Harry Potter series. And amid it all, Newt Scamander steps into his (magical) suitcase and seems to walk down stairs, completely disappearing into the case.

Fantastic Beasts, starring Redmayne as magical zoologist Newt Scamander, is set in New York City in the 1920s, decades before the events of the Harry Potter series.

It follows Scamander's journey to track magical creatures through North America, and is adapted by author J.K. Rowling from her book.

The film hits theaters on Nov. 18.
