A commercial airliner flying from Dubai carrying 62 people has crashed in the south Russia city of Rostov-on-Don, multiple reports confirm.

A statement from Russia's Emergencies Ministry, obtained by the Associated Press, said that the plane went down on Saturday morning.

According to The Guardian a spokesman from the local ministry, quoted by the official TASS news agency, said all 61 people on board had died, including 55 passengers and six crew members.

Officials say that bad weather likely was the cause of the crash, according to CNN. It will likely take the government two months to investigate the crash.
