Frank Stallone Enters Rehab for Alcohol Abuse

After battling alcohol abuse, singer and actor Frank Stallone entered rehab at the Betty Ford Center over the weekend, his manager reveals to PEOPLE exclusively.

"With the support of his friends and family, Frank is taking a much needed break from his professional activities to regroup and focus on his health and well-being," his manager Randi Siegel tells PEOPLE in a statement. "This opportunity will enable him to move forward in his career from a solid foundation."

Stallone, 63, the younger brother of action star Sylvester Stallone, is perhaps best known for his Grammy-nominated contributions to the Staying Alive soundtrack. Most recently, he voiced a character in the HUB Network's series Transformers Prime.

He is expected to undergo a standard course of treatment at Betty Ford.

Says a rep for his brother: "Sylvester Stallone supports his brother's decision and this process."
