Nearly four years after her gold medal-winning (and career-making) performance at the 2012 London Olympics, the 20-year-old gymnast is chronicling her journey to the 2016 Rio Games in Douglas Family Gold.
"Now I want to do the impossible," she explains in an exclusive trailer for the series. "No American gymnast has ever gone back and defended their title."
Though she made history by becoming the first African American to win the USA team and individual all-around gold medals at the last Summer Games, Douglas assures, "I have more [to offer], and I'm so excited to show you guys."
And while her life on the world stage is fascinating, the show also reveals the real Gabby off the mat, including the triumphs and sacrifices her family is making along the way to Brazil and details about her her love life ("I have one relationship: His name is Gym ... Nastics").
"The road to Rio will not be easy," says Douglas. "If I can do this, it won't just be my gold, it'll be Douglas Family Gold.
Douglas Family Gold premieres May 25 at 10 p.m. ET on Oxygen.
