The couple traveled across Tuscany together, visiting the small towns of Chianti, Poggio and Cortona along the way.
Their vehicles of choice? The Clooneys toured the Chianti hills on a old-school Italian vintage Vespa moped and in a 1960s FIAT 500.
On Monday afternoon the pair visited the Montebernardi wine estate in Panzano in Chianti, a small village in Tuscany's famous winemaking region. After visiting the 130-acre estate, George, 54, and Amal, 37, were spotted dining at the Cantinetta di Rignana tavern in the town of Greve in Chianti.
The pair took a pit stop during their Vespa tour on Tuesday, grabbing a late lunch at the e Locanda di Pietracupa restaurant in San Donato in Poggio, where they ordered eggplant medallion and a nest of saffron and porcini rice appetizers. Amal dined on an off-the-menu homemade pasta with "very" hot tomato sauce, paired with a single glass of red Chianti Classico.
"It sounds cheesy because he really is a movie star, but they looked like a scene out of a romantic movie. Both incredibly good-looking," a waiter at the restaurant told PEOPLE. "She was elegant in all her movements. They kept holding hands and leaning in for a kiss."
Thursday evening also included dinner on the town, this time at the Il Falconiere restaurant in the Luxury Realais Il Falconiere & Spa resort, close to the historic town of Cortona. They ate alfresco under olive trees, ordering homemade pappardelle with eggplant and tomato sauce, and tomatoes stuffed with Neapolitan buffala mozzarella. George also enjoyed a fresh and locally sourced vegetable omelette.
