In a picture shared to her Instagram account on Saturday, the Twilight actress is fresh-faced and beaming as new husband Somerhalder affectionately smooches her cheek. Reed, 26, is wearing a hair wrap and clad in all white, while the Vampire Diaries star, 36, sports a fedora and a black tank top.
"Salty ... sandy ... sticky ... sunburned. The best. I love this human. My human," Reed captioned the photo.
The couple was married on April 26 at Topanga Canyon in Malibu, California. Somerhalder Tweeted "Most beautiful morning ever" on the couple's big day.
Reed and Somerhalder were first spotted together in July 2014, and got engaged in January.
The affectionate pair often speak candidly about their relationship, with Reed telling reporters in February that their passion for humanitarianism brings them together.
"What's actually, I think, nurtured this long friendship that we've had is that we are passionate about similar things," she told reporters before Somerhalder presented her with an award for her work with animals, at the time.
The marriage is the first for Somerhalder and second for Reed, who finalized her divorce from Paul McDonald (of American Idol fame) in January, after splitting in March 2014.
