But not everyone's James Franco, or as famous for their social-media presence as Franco.
Jimmy Fallon took notice of Franco's habit of posing a very specific way for photos with fans, and decided to take the star to task for it during his appearance on Monday's Tonight Show.
Franco's justification was that, with shades and a poker face, any angle of selfie will end up flattering. So of course he and Fallon had to put that theory to the test – the pair donned trucker hats, Wayfarers and poker faces for a "Franco selfie" of their very own.
Franco is coming off a successful run on Broadway, where he made his stage debut in Of Mice and Men opposite Chris O'Dowd and Leighton Meester. The show ended its 19-week run Sunday on a high – the play set a new eight-performance weekly record gross at New York's Longacre Theatre with $1,038,106 and became the first show at the theater to surpass $1 million in sales.
Maybe that'll give Franco something to start smiling about.
