The Saturday Night Live alum, 40, is set to play Red, who's described as "a bird with a temper problem," in the upcoming animated comedy the Angry Birds Movie.
"It has put me in touch with my inner anger," Sudeikis told reporters at the Angry Birds Movie "Sneak Beak" Footage Event on Feb. 23 in Los Angeles.
"As does waking up you know. [There's] just a ton in my world [to] just really [be] angry and ticked off about – one thing after another," he joked. "From the person I get to sleep next to, and the child, and the supportive family, and cool sisters and great friends – yeah, one thing after another. My anger bingo card is full."
Although Sudeikis might not share the same anger issues as Red, the actor admits he is like, "an amped version of myself."
"It's not too dissimilar," says Sudeikis.
The film – which is inspired by the viral game – centers on an island populated entirely by happy, flightless birds – that is, until mysterious green pigs arrive.
Then it's up to Red, Chuck (Josh Gad ) and Bomb (Danny McBride) to figure out just what exactly the pigs are up to.

The movie also features Bill Hader as the pigs' spokesman Leonard, Maya Rudolph, Peter Dinklage, Kate McKinnon, Keegan-Michael Key and Danielle Brooks amongst many others.
Country star Blake Shelton also lends his voice (and singing skills) to the animated feature as a cowboy pig named Earl.
The Angry Birds Movie hits theaters on May 20.
