Jesse Eisenberg needed to finally atone for his sins from 14 years ago, so he headed to Las Vegas.

While accepting his award at CinemaCon for Male Star of the Year at Caesars Palace, the actor hilariously came clean about how he used to fake his way into movie theaters in his hometown of New York as a youngster.

Now, he felt it was time to come clean in front of the people he "stole" from.

"I was actually part of a major scheme to steal from Regal Cinemas when I was about 18," he said during his acceptance speech on Thursday. "I got my Screen Actors Guild card, and for some reason I decided to tell the local Regal Cinema box office that this SAG card allowed me two free movie tickets to any movie."

Eisenberg told the crowd of movie theater owners that he was just testing his luck to see if it worked. Well, it did for several months.

"I saw a movie, like, every other day at this Regal Cinema illegally using my Screen Actors Guild card," he shamefully, yet humorously, admitted. "I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to Regal Cinemas for basically stealing two movie tickets. I think it's important that I list all the movies. I just want to fully atone."

He then listed 26 films by name that he watched during his scheme. (Among the wronged? Swordfish, Dr. Doolittle 2, America's Sweathearts, Hedwig and the Angry Inch, Serendipity, Training Day, Shallow Hal, Kate & Leopold, and Gosford Park.

"I know what you're thinking. You're thinking, 'Jesse you're being too hard on yourself. You couldn't single-handedly hurt Regal Cinemas,' " he said. "Well, I discovered that on Oct. 12, 2001, at the height of my theft, Regal Cinemas filed for Chapter 12 bankruptcy. I didn't know anything about that at the time, but I got caught and I stopped using my SAG card a few weeks after that."

"Since then, Regal Cinemas has actually become the most successful theater circuit in the country," the Now You See Me 2 actor continued. "Now, is me stopping and then you becoming the most successful theater company in the country a coincidence? No, no, I don't think so. Now that Regal is back on top and doing so well, I just want to say that I think it's time for me to once again break out my Screen Actors Guild card."

In finishing his speech that saw the crowd erupt into thunderous laughs, he thanked Regal for" letting me atone for all my sins."
