Anna Duggar Reflects on How Things Have Changed Since Jill (Duggar) Dillard Left for Central America: 'A Lot Has Happened'

A lot has changed for the Duggar family in recent months, but perhaps the sweetest change has been watching baby Israel David Dillard grow up.

In an exclusive sneak peek at Tuesday's Jill and Jessa: Counting On, Jill (Duggar) Dillard Skypes in from her long-term mission trip in Central America to catch up with her sisters Joy-Anna and Jinger Duggar, Jessa (Duggar) Seewald and sister-in-law Anna Duggar – but it's 1-year-old Israel's adorable Spanish skills that steal the show.

"Hey, Izzy! Aunt Anna loves you," gushes Anna, 27, waving at Jill and Israel on the computer screen. "You're a big boy!"

"It's been about four months since Jill left for Central America," Anna says in an on-camera confessional. "I know a lot has happened, and little Izzy has changed so much."

"Does he speak Spanish yet, Jill?" asks Jinger, 22.

"Yeah, he knows if you say certain things, he'll respond," responds Jill, 24, encouraging her son to wave at her while repeating "hola" and "adios."

Israel begins to wave his own little hand and the women can't contain their excitement over how "adorable" he is, since he now waves front-to-back like the locals in Central America do, instead of side-to-side.

"The culture in Central America is definitely influencing Izzy," Joy-Anna, 18, says in an on-camera confessional. "Jill says 'Hola' and 'Adios,' and he waves like this," she adds, imitating the movement.

"[The people here] think it's so funny that he says 'Mama' and 'Papa,' instead of 'Mom' and 'Dad,' " Jill continues. "They're like: 'He speaks Spanish!' "

Adds Joy-Anna: "It's so cute just to see him growing up and doing all these different things."

Jill and Jessa: Counting On airs Tuesdays (9 p.m. ET) on TLC, and Jill, Jessa, Jinger and Jana Duggar's book Growing Up Duggar is now available in paperback.
