The Real Housewives of New Jersey star accepted a plea deal on Wednesday in his driver's license fraud case in Paterson, New Jersey.
The father of four, who was accused of using his brother's marriage and birth certificates to obtain a driver's license after his was suspended from a DUI charge, was sentenced to 18 months in jail. However, Giudice won't serve any additional time because the sentence will run concurrently with the 41 months he'll do for his federal crimes.
Though Giudice, 42, initially declined the deal offered by the judge, he later reconsidered.
Teresa Giudice did not attend the court hearing but continues to support her husband.
She told Andy Cohen on a recent special Watch What Happens Live interview that she doesn't plan to leave her husband when he goes to prison following her term, which begins Jan. 5.
"I don't think he meant to hurt me in any way," she told Cohen.
"I just want to apologize that I got you into this mess," Joe said to his wife. "If I could take it all back, I would."
