The pair's daughter, Indiana, turned 2 on Wednesday, and the dying singer reveled in her ability to celebrate the big day.
"Some birthdays are more than just birthdays. They're dreams coming true and prayers being answered," reads the caption on the couple's Instagram page. The accompanying image shows Joey, 40, smiling and clasping Indy's hands as the girl sits in her mother's bed.
The Feeks, known as country and gospel duo Joey+Rory, have been celebrating their daughter's milestone throughout the day on social media, kicking things off with a sweet video of the toddler giggling in her pink-striped footie pajamas.
" ... barely awake and already signing and celebrating her big day," the caption reads.
It might be the last birthday the young child will spend with her mother, who is battling terminal cancer in hospice care in her hometown of Alexandria, Indiana. (Joey was diagnosed with cervical cancer in May 2014, months after giving birth to Indy, who was born with Down syndrome.)
The couple also shared a snap of little Indy getting ready to devour a special meal.
" ... birthday breakfast fun w uncle Russdriver," the family captioned a shot of Indiana in her high chair, donning red overalls and pigtails.
Although her prognosis is grim, Joey has been savoring her time with her precious daughter. In a Valentine's Day post, they shared a shot of the pair enjoying a smooch. "...happy Valentine's Day mama," the caption reads.
Indiana's birthday comes two days after the Feeks watched the Grammys from home. Joey+Rory lost to Little Big Town in the best country duo/group performance category, but they made it clear that even being nominated for their first time was an honor.
"...more than enough" they captioned a shot of their Grammy nominee medal.
Despite not being at the Grammys – their devoted manager Aaron Carnahan and Rory's daughters from a previous marriage, Heidi, 29, and Hopie, 27, attended on their behalf - Joey+Rory made the most of the occasion. They shared a photo of Indy getting the glam treatment as she prepared to tune in with her parents.
The post reads, "Piggy-tail French braids...Indy getting her hair done by her Aunts for Grammy watching w her mama and papa tonight (if it's not past her bedtime)."
