Joran van der Sloot – the suspect in American teen Natalee Holloway's disappearance – has married in a Peru prison, according to multiple news reports.

Van der Sloot, 26, wed Leidy Figueroa on Friday morning, his lawyer told CNN en Español. Figueroa is also carrying his child, due in September.

The Dutch man is currently serving a 28-year sentence for killing a Peruvian woman, Stephany Flores, in 2010 – five years to the day that Holloway vanished during a graduation vacation in Aruba.

Holloway, 18, was last seen leaving a club with van der Sloot on May 30, 2005. He has repeatedly been caught lying about the events of that night and will face charges for attempting to extort Holloway's mother in exchange for false information about the location of her remains once he completes his prison sentence in Peru. Her body has never been found, though she was declared legally dead.

Van der Sloot met his new bride while she was visiting a relative in jail, according to CNN.
