After facing two scandals in one summer, Josh Duggar quietly checked himself into an Illinois faith-based rehab center.

Seven months later, a source tells PEOPLE that the former conservative lobbyist is due home in Arkansas "any day" now.

"He'll be back very, very soon," another insider says.

The ex-19 Kids & Counting star's image took a dark turn in May, when he admitted to inappropriately touching five underage girls as a teen.

Then, in August, the father of four confessed to cheating on wife Anna Duggar and being addicted to pornography after being implicated in the Ashley Madison hack.

"I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him," he said in a statement at the time. "I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust."

He entered Reformers Unanimous in Rockford, Illinois, days later and has remained in treatment ever since, though Anna and other family members have visited the eldest Duggar child.

She blogged about their meeting in January, calling the reconciliation "an important step on a long and difficult road."

The religious family is back in the spotlight with a new show, Jill and Jessa: Counting On, premiering on TLC on March 15.
