First comes love, then comes Couples Therapy.

Former Bachelor Juan Pablo Galavis and girlfriend Nikki Ferrell have signed on for Season 5 of VH1's Couples Therapy, where they will be counseled by marriage and family therapist Dr. Jenn Berman. On the show, they'll address any issues that have come between them.

Despite their involvement in the series, Galavis and Ferrell have been going strong. In July, they were all smiles as they spent a weekend in Celebration, Florida, to volunteer for Hearts of Reality, a charity that raises money for Give Kids the World. In August, they danced the night away while celebrating Galavis's 33rd birthday bash.

"We're doing great," Ferrell told PEOPLE last month. "We're very happy together."

Added Galavis: "She's a wonderful woman – smart, caring, who treats my daughter amazingly well."

Like all couples, Galavis and Ferrell are moving at their own speed – which they acknowledge may be a slower pace than other relationships. (They famously drew fire when they ended up together – but not engaged – on Season 18 of the reality dating show.)

"I was criticized a lot for not saying 'I love you' to Nikki," Galavis says in the preview video for the show. "In the Venezuelan community, it means something. I mean, to propose to someone, it means something. Am I going to say 'I love you' to Nikki? I don't know yet."

And that's fine by Ferrell. "Just because he hasn't said it to me, doesn't mean that I don't say it to him," she says. "I don't expect him to say it back when I say it. Maybe one day, he will. In all reality, we haven't been together too long. But he does; he loves me. He's committed to this."

"Is she the one or not? That's a great question," Galavis says. "I think she's on the right track. Everything she does that I don't like, I'm like, 'Is this gonna work?' It's just a process, but I think we could communicate better; that's one of the reasons why we're here."

Couples Therapy premieres Sept. 10 at 9 p.m. ET on VH1. Watch the preview below.
