Former Bachelorette Kaitlyn Bristowe and her fiancé and final pick Shawn Booth got engaged at the conclusion of the reality show but couldn't reveal their relationship until the season finale aired on July 27.
In order to avoid spoiling the finale, the couple can't be seen in public together until the episode airs – but Bristowe has revealed that the duo may have found a sneaky way around that particular rule.
The former dance instructor took to Instagram on Thursday to share an adorable shot of the pair wearing wigs, hats and oversized sunglasses.
"Maybe the other week wasn't our first time out in public!!? #bonnieandclyde @shawn_booth18," she captioned the selfie.
This wasn't the first time that Bristowe, 30, and Booth, 29, bent the rules of the show. Bristowe told PEOPLE exclusively that the pair actually snuck each other notes to communicate in secret during filming.
"Nobody knows this, but we passed notes all the time. It was so fun to pass notes about little things like, this is my favorite Ninja turtle or this is my favorite movie, because on camera, it's always the bigger picture," she said. "And we saved every little thing from our dates. I didn't save anything from the other dates, not one thing!"
Bristowe also admitted that she told Booth he was the one on an off-camera visit, and "accidentally" let those three little words slip after she met his parents (per the rules of the show, the Bachelor or Bachelorette doesn't say 'I love you' to any of the contestants until they select their final pick).
