Kaley Cuoco Opens Up About Divorce: 'I'm In a Much Better Place Than I Was'

Kaley Cuoco is moving on.

After what she calls a "bizarre" year, The Big Bang Theory actress tells Ellen DeGeneres that she's keeping positive during her divorce proceedings with Ryan Sweeting.

"We all go through really weird ups and down, and sometimes I'm a little more seen," the 30-year-old says on Tuesday's episode of The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "You know, so I already feel like 2016 is going to be a much better year than 2015."

Cuoco filed for divorce from Sweeting last September after only 21 months of marriage.

"You know, it's been rough, but things are going good," Cuoco says. "I'm much, much better now. I'm in a much better place than I was."

The actress has already made moves to begin her new single life – including covering up a tattoo of her and Sweeting's wedding date.

"I had the date tattooed on my back to remind me ... " she tells DeGeneres, before advising, "Don't tattoo wedding dates."

Calling the original ink a "mistake," Cuoco chose a large moth to cover it.

"The significance is that it was big enough to cover the numbers ... big wing s... silence, quiet, on a wall," she jokes to DeGeneres. "You know how they do that? They're like stationary."

Cuoco and Sweeting were married on New Year's Eve 2013 in a fire-and-ice-themed wedding. The relationship was quite the whirlwind, with the pair getting engaged just three months after first being linked.
