Want to look like a Kardashian?

If so, you're not alone. U.K. cosmetic surgery group Transform reports that they have seen a 73 percent increase in inquiries from patients citing Kardashian family members as inspiration.

The trend article calls the plastic surgery craze the "Dash Effect," and states that after Kylie Jenner admitted to having lip fillers earlier this year, they received a 700 percent rise in inquiries about the procedure overnight.

While the study was based on a U.K. plastic surgery group, American plastic surgeons have seen a similar surge in requests for procedures to look like the famous sisters.

"There has been an increase in plastic surgery – both face and body – of patients who want to look like the Kardashians," Dr. Saul Lahijani, CEO of the Beverly Hills Institute of Plastic Surgery, tells PEOPLE. "Due to their reality show and their presence in the media, more young women patients want the same glamorous looks of Kim and Khloé."

The Top 5 Reasons We're Obsessed with Kylie Jenner

"They're the modern version of what glamorous movie stars used to be, setting trends in fashion, and facial and body aesthetics alike," adds Beverly Hills plastic surgeon Dr. Marc Mani. "Girls all over the world look up to them for how they should look."

He says women come in all the time requesting to be transformed into Kourtney, Kim and Kylie – specifically asking for Kylie Jenner's lips and Kim Kardashian's butt.

However, Mani advises against getting cosmetic surgery specifically to look a member of the Kardashian-Jenner clan.

"[Women] are better off distinguishing themselves with subtle work that brings out their best self, rather than trying to look like someone else," he says.
