Kate Hudson likes Nick Jonas in "Chains."

The 36-year-old continued to skirt around questions about her relationship with the 23-year-old singer during an appearance Tuesday on CBS This Morning – but would admit that Jonas is "a sweetheart."

"He's a great guy," she told Gayle King about Jonas.

Playing a game of "This or That," Hudson also admitted she preferred the crooner's single "Chains" to his hit "Jealous," and seemed pleased to hear that Jonas feels they have a "beautiful connection" – something he told Complex this month.

"What would he say about you?" Charlie Rose asked the Fabletics creator.

Hudson replied, "Apparently that we have a beautiful connection!"

The pair were first linked in September, and have continually fueled rumors by stepping out together. Most recently, they were spotted enjoying a romantic candlelit dinner in Los Angeles ahead of Valentine's Day.

"[Kate and Nick] stopped talking for a little bit just because they were sort of in different mindsets, but that happened for only a few weeks," a source previously told PEOPLE of the pair.

While Hudson only recently even admitted that she's dating, the star has mostly avoided questions about the rumored May-December romance.

"I'm having a great time," she admitted on Tuesday, adding when prodded, "I'm pretty happy."

Hudson's romantic outlook has been inspired by her mother Goldie Hawn and stepdad Kurt Russell, she told Entertainment Tonight earlier this week.

"I think what they have, in terms of connection, is really rare and beautiful and something to strive for," Hudson shared, adding that the best advice she's ever received about love is "to be true to yourself."
