What says "summer in America" more than an ostentatiously large scoop of ice cream?

To commemorate its 100th anniversary last week, Kemps Dairy of Milwaukee decided to create the "World's Largest Ice Cream Scoop."

To accomplish this, Kemps enlisted five nationally-ranked snow sculptors from Minnesota Big Snow to carve 733 containers worth of strawberry ice cream – roughly one football field's worth – into a singular 3,010-lb. scoop.

After the feat was verified by a Guinness World Records judge, hundreds of attendees at the Cedarburg Strawberry Festival were able to sample the scoop.

History making never tasted so sweet.
