Six seasons and a movie? That's an affirmative for Community if Ken Jeong has a say.

Joel McHale may have broken the news that the sitcom will not be returning to air after its most recent season on Yahoo (where it moved after NBC announced the show's cancellation in 2014), but his former costar says he hopes fans haven't seen the last of the cast.

"I would love to do a movie," Jeong told press at ABC's summer press tour. "I think a movie would be amazing."

The actor, 46, who writes, executive produces and stars in ABC's new show, Dr. Ken, says he owes plenty to the beloved comedy.

"If it wasn't for Community, I wouldn't be here to lead my own show. I learned so much on that. That show made me the actor that I am today, especially in television. I'm always down for anything Community-related."

Dr. Ken premieres Oct. 2 at 8:30 p.m. ET on ABC.
