The "Tik Tok" singer has canceled a scheduled concert at Loyola University Chicago's Colossus 2016 event amid her legal battle with Dr. Luke, whom she alleges raped her.
The 42-year-old music producer has denied all claims.
On Wednesday, the college's Department of Programming released a statement online detailing why Kesha backed out of the Saturday gig.
"Kesha will no longer be able to perform at Loyola's annual Colossus weekend due to personal reasons," the statement read. "Kesha has expressed her disappointment in having to cancel, but she feels that this is the best decision for her at this time. We respect her decision and wish her well."
Kesha is suing Luke, alleging he drugged and raped her and subjected her to a decade of verbal and emotional abuse.
Luke is countersuing for breach of contract and defamation.
