12 Years a Slave director Steve McQueen was spotted limping back to his room as if he had danced too much and, with his tux jacket draped over the shoulders of his companion, told PEOPLE the wedding was "wonderful! Lots of fun."
Longtime family friend Malika Haqq told PEOPLE that the wedding and reception – which took place at Forte di Belvedere, and featured more than $100,000 worth of fragrant floral arrangements as well as performances by Andrea Bocelli and John Legend – was "beautiful! So romantic … Ah, stunning."
The groom, who'd been nervous before the ceremony, had overseen every detail of the couple's special day, which included a wall of flowers that echoed the Mother's Day gift he'd presented to his bride earlier this month. "Kanye really went all out there with his love," Haqq told PEOPLE.
And Carla DiBello, who worked on Keeping Up with the Kardashians and Kourtney and Kim Take New York, posted a pic on Instagram with the bride (who wore a custom-made Givenchy gown) along with the caption, "Congratulations to Mrs. Kanye West… Most magical night ever."
